Alien 5 has been in my head for so many years now. Yes Alien was amazing and my all time favorite film to date. Aliens is just as amazing and can stand along side my love for the first. the third can burn in fire, similar the Xenomorph in it's climax. Alien: Resurrection wasn't bad; better than 3. EVEN if the past 2 films have been less than Alien and it's sequal, a 5th movie may be that next master piece in the saga? No? Well awhile back there was talk some time ago that James Cameron was actually writing it. Cameron! The man that brought you Aliens and it's epicness! This thrilled me, and.. would have been amazing. Alien 5 isn't happening next though, maybe someday (and hopefully still by Cameron) but there is new word on the Alien saga's new addition now. A particular project I'm skeptical on; only the director attached to the project is keeping this one on life support till further reveal.

so word is Alien's next addition isn't forwards, but backwards. I truly wish i could kill the creator of the "prequel" concept; they never work. Fox is now supposedly looking into producing a prequel to Alien, respectfully directed by Ridley Scott (who directed Alien). As much as I hate the idea, I trust Scott, and have faith he can finally make the prequel concept work. I only hope he can find the direction that will lead this project to acceptance amongst critics and fans, mainly fans as critics only bitch now and days.

I'm sure your asking why I have faith in Scott? Well aside from being the good director and visionary as he is, he too like Cameron, had a Alien 5 concept. Scott revealed his concept to be about returning to LV-426 and the derelict space craft. I always liked this concept and i can see Scott reusing this approach for the Alien prequel.

Till further notice, time will tell.
